  1. Welcome to the demonstration battle of Pacific Islands specially
  2. created for PC FORMAT readers by Oxford Digital and EMPIRE.\
  3. In the magazine you'll find information on how to play the game and get
  4. the most out of this demo.\
  5. On this "Briefing" screen you will get more information on your objectives
  6. by clicking on the arrow at the bottom of this page.

  8. You will get more information on the areas of interest on the map by clicking
  9. on the EYE icon at the top right of the screen.\\
  10. You can order up different sorts of artillery and mines by clicking on the
  11. artillery icon at the top right of the screen.

  13. This is the main battle area on the island of ALOHA.\
  14. Your have three clear objectives.\
  15. 1.  Locate the runway, which is a major supply
  16. route for the opposition forces, and cause as much damage as possible.  There
  17. are a two Hughes 500 helicopters which must be destroyed.\
  18. 2. Find the satellite installation near the runway and put it out.
  19. |3. Finally, locate the fuel dump area and destroy it.\\
  20. If you can achieve all of these objectives within forty minutes without
  21. losing all of your Team, then you will have proved yourself worthy of your
  22. magazine.\\

  25. This is the starting position for Team FORMAT.\
  26. There are some easy targets for you in the village to the south.\
  27. They have been specially disabled for you.\
  28. After that you're on your own!
  29. |This bridge could well be mined, so take great care about using this route
  30. south.\
  31. It would be sensible to plan your attack very carefully.
  32. |The opposition runway is near the centre of the map.\
  33. There are two Hughes 500 helicopters which must be destroyed here.
  34. |Aerial reconnaisance suggests that the satellite installation is in
  35. this area.\
  36. There may well be a defending force in the region, so take care.
  37. |This is the rough position of the fuel dump which must be destroyed.
